ZAK HARDAKER RECKONS HE'S STILL GOOD TO PLAY FOR ANOTHER FOUR TO FIVE YEARS

- By DAN TOMLINSON

ZAK Hardaker says he would sign a new deal at Hull FC 'tomorrow' and reckons he's still good to play for another four to five years.

The 33-year-old still has another 18 months to run on his current deal with the Black and Whites. However, given rugby league's new anti-tampering date, Hardaker can speak to rival clubs about the 2027 season from December 1 this year.

That means clubs now have an onus to tie down their talent quickly - with Hardaker, who has proven to be a superb signing at the club this year with his effort, grit, and sheer determination, insisting he will be good to go for years.

Showcasing his passion for rugby league, Hardaker has been branded the ultimate competitor, with his fight and desire, no matter what position he plays, earning him his plaudits.

Playing at centre, back row, or last week, even at six, he's been a key component of John Cartwright's side this year and has helped lead the resurgence with his professionalism and standard-setting in training.

That, he hopes, will earn him an extension when the time comes, with Hardaker clear about his respect for Hull and his desire to play here.

Speaking to Hull Live about his future, Hardaker said: "I'd love to (sign a new deal). If someone offered me a deal tomorrow, I'd sign it in an instant. I signed at Hull for the project, and from what it was to where it is now, it's a totally different team and different club.
