RECORD-BREAKING GCSE SUCCESS FOR HYMERS COLLEGE STUDENTS

HYMERS College is celebrating its best ever year of GCSE results, with students excelling across all subject areas.
Outstanding results across the board reflect the hard work, determination and supportive ethos of the independent Hull school.
A total of 30% of all grades are a 9 - the most common grade - and 50% of all grades are a 9 or 8 (equivalent to A*), representing a 6% increase on last year's results.
Other highlights include: 38% of all pupils achieved a clean sweep of 9-7 grades (A*-A equivalent)
Excellent 9-7 rates for English (74%), Maths (73%) and Science subjects (74%)
The average grade is 7.2 (higher than an A)
An average grade of an 8 in modern and classical languages - including Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish and Latin - with a 100% pass rate.
