NORTH FERRIBY were defeated at the first hurdle in the FA Cup Extra-Preliminary Round following a 2-0 defeat to Redcar Athletic at the Hollou Sports Stadium.

Arriving in the North-East, the aurora of the Cup was in full swing, but it was always going to be a strong test against a highly invested Redcar side.
Ferriby were under the cosh early on as the hosts caught the defence off guard, taking the lead inside the opening five minutes.
A calming presence descended upon the Ferriby camp as Sam Aynsley came close to levelling, after a well worked corner saw the wide man head narrowly over.
