COUNCIL ISSUE REMINDER THAT ILLEGALLY DUMPING WASTE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
TWO Hull fly-tippers have been ordered to pay more than £1,500 each for dumping waste on the city’s streets.
Hull City Council has issued a reminder to residents to dispose of waste legally or face the full force of the law following the prosecutions.
The local authority confirmed that two individuals have recently been ordered to pay a combined total of £3,144 in fines and costs after their cases were heard at Hull Magistrates’ Court.
Councillor Charles Quinn, portfolio holder for environment, condemned the illegal dumping, saying: "Fly-tipping is a crime and we do not tolerate it in Hull.
