JORDAN LANE IN HULL FC EXIT

Tigers offer 'he couldn't turn down'

JORDAN Lane has revealed he had a chance to stay at Hull FC beyond the end of the 2025 season. However, Castleford Tigers then came in with an offer he 'couldn't turn down.

The 27-year-old back rower has signed a four-year deal at Castleford from the 2026 season, ending a 12-year spell at Hull that first began as a scholarship player. Since then, Lane came through the club's academy system and has made over 160 appearances for the club.

Engaging in contract talks with Hull earlier this year, ultimately the two parties couldn't settle on a deal, with Castleford then tying the player down. However, Lane will leave the Black and Whites on good terms and eager to get to grips with a new challenge and new opportunity in a different environment.

That, ultimately, is what has attracted the forward, who will bow out of Hull this season after debuting in the first team back in 2018.
