Selles gives his verdict on the Tigers

CITY HAVE ONE GAME TO ESCAPE DROP AFTER LOSS TO DERBY

RUBEN Selles says his players must now focus on winning at Portsmouth on Saturday after losing 1-0 to Derby County in their final home outing of the season.

Nat Phillips' 84th-minute header won the contest for Derby to leave City inside the bottom three and knowing only victory at Fratton Park will guarantee their safety, having missed the chance to do it by beating the Rams.

City dominated much of the game, but as has been the case so often this season, struggled to create meaningful chances with only two efforts on target.

The late goal came as a real sucker-punch to the Tigers, who were booed off by a sold-out MKM Stadium crowd, with Selles admitting it was tough to take, having lost Regan Slater and John Egan to injuries.

"I’m disappointed, I'm very disappointed with the result,’ a frustrated Selles told the Mail.
