PETERS HAS PRAISED KR'S WHITBREAD
WILLIE Peters has praised Jai Whitbread for his latest versatility after his fresh stint in the back-row, while also confirming that Oliver Gildart will be sidelined for the next four months due to injury.
The 28-year-old centre, who had been enjoying a superb season, recently underwent surgery after suffering a meniscal blow during Magic Weekend's win over Salford Red Devils.
As a result, he is set to miss a significant portion of the campaign.
Gildart’s absence saw James Batchelor slot into the centres, where he scored twice as Hull KR secured their place in the Challenge Cup final over Catalans Dragons.
With Noah Booth and Arthur Mourgue cup-tied, Jack Broadbent also impressed again at full-back, bagging two tries at York's LNER Community Stadium.
