Rovers' Barley heads to Featherstone on a permanent basis

WILLIE Peters hopes Connor Barley's permanent move to Featherstone Rovers will help the young outside-back put himself in the shop window for a long-term deal, with limited opportunities forcing a move away from Sewell Group Craven Park.

Barley has joined the Championship heavyweights on a deal until the end of the current season, linking up with former Rovers player - and his uncle - Paul Cooke.

A product of the Robins' academy, Barley made four first-team appearances, with his last in August 2023. He made a try-scoring debut on the wing against St Helens in Round 24 of the 2022 campaign.
