Police station move is rejected

NEW options for the moving of Beverley Police Station are to be drawn up following a public consultation which showed the majority of people are were against its relocation to County Hall.

Police and Crime Commissioner Jonathan Evison says 60 per cent of respondents to a recent survey said they did not support the proposals.
Those people cited concerns about accessibility, parking, and response times with suggestions the move could increase traffic congestion and offer less visibility and slower response times.
