No mid-season England test

ENGLAND will have NO mid-season international fixture going into next year’s Rugby League World Cup.

The domestic calendar has been labelled ‘too congested’ to accommodate a mid-season Test for Shaun Wane's side, who will head into the autumn with no games under their belt.
RL Commercial CEO Rhodri Jones has already confirmed the domestic season has no room in the schedule for an international fixture.
Defeated 3-0 by Australia in the Ashes earlier this month, England head coach Wane has already expressed the need for more thorough preparation to give his team the best chance of success next year, with Papua New Guinea coach Jason Demetriou willing to play Wane's side in a mid-season Test.
