NHS trust at forefront of flu vaccinations for frontline staff

AN NHS healthcare provider says it has now vaccinated more than half its frontline staff against influenza.

Flu vaccinations are made available to all NHS staff, to prevent sickness and protect the health of patients they care for.

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust ranks second nationally for frontline staff vaccinations and are placed first in the region.

Figures issued this week show the trust has vaccinated 55.3 per cent of their frontline staff.

The programme of clinics began last month and will continue into the winter period. Flu can be a serious illness for some people, requiring hospital admissions.
