It's more than two weeks since Hull City's season came to a positive end with their 1-1 draw at Portsmouth, which sealed their Championship survival.

While things might be calming down at other clubs, there's no such luxury for those involved with City as the search for a new head coach continues.

Owner Acun Ilicali is continuing his summer search for a new boss for the second successive campaign, and that process is being stepped up this week.

Though City's season is over, there's still plenty to be decided across Europe in the next few days, and that's where we turn our attention to in the latest news round-up.

Acun staying put

There were reports which emerged on Sunday night in Turkey that Acun Ilicali could be set to step down as vice-president at Fenerbahce.

Social media was awash with rumours that Ilicali would resign from the position he took on last year, but sources close to the City owner say there is no truth to those claims.

Fenerbahce have two games remaining and have already conceded the Super Lig title to bitter rivals Galatasaray.

Their Istanbul neighbours are eight points clear at the top.
