WAEREA-HARGREAVES AND MCILORUM SET FOR SPELLS ON THE SIDELINES

- By DAVID CRAVEN

Willie Peters has given his reaction to Sauaso Sue's spitting tribunal - and revealed Jared Waerea-Hargreaves faces a spell sidelined after going into Wembley injured.

Prop Sue was charged with a Grade E offence of spitting at Josh Thewlis in the Challenge Cup final against Warrington

He could have received a six-game ban but Tuesday night's independent operational rules tribunal ruled that the Samoa international did not spit intentionally in the direction of Thewlis.

That means Sue is free to play against Catalans tomorrow and he is included in their 21-man squad.

Peters said: “We're obviously relieved because you never know what the outcome is going to be, but we're really happy with what happened with the outcome.”

Asked what Rovers used as mitigation, he replied: “I'll leave that to the guys that did it - Neil Hudgell and people smarter than me.

“I know Jesse's character. All that I was worried about was Jesse. I know his character, I know what he’s about, I know he's a family man, he’s a leader amongst our team, he's really well-respected.
