Johns calls for return of Super League Winter RL

MATTY Johns believes Super League should return to a winter season.
The former Australia star and now NRL pundit believes Super League would benefit from returning to the pre-Super League scheduling.
With the NRL open to talks about investing in the Northern Hemisphere, a number of ideas have been floated, including a smaller top-tier competition, the introduction of an additional French team and more.
But another suggestion, one endorsed by former Wigan half-back Johns, is for Super League to be played in winter, meaning the majority of the season would run during the NRL off-season.
