JOSEPH WANTS TO BUILD ON FIRST GOAL

Striker Kyle Joseph says his goal in the 4-2 defeat at Bristol City was anything but a consolation as he finally opened his account for Hull City in his 20th league appearance in Black and Amber.

Joseph turned in Oli McBurnie’s pass in the final moments of the Ashton Gate contest to reduce the arrears, though it meant little in the context of a game that had long since gone beyond Sergej Jakirovic’s side.

After being hampered by injury following his £2.5m move from Blackpool in January, the 23-year-old forward opened his account and believes the confidence he can take from it shouldn’t be underestimated.
