Connor's emotional message after his Man of Steel victory

FORMER Hull FC star Jake Connor had tears in his eyes when receiving the Steve Prescott Man of Steel trophy on Tuesday night.
The Leeds Rhinos maverick was crowned the best player in the Super League competition at the annual Rugby League Awards dinner, with Sky Sports and event host Brian Carney reading out a touching message after Connor received his award.
The message was from Connor's mother, who asked Carney to read out the message should her son win the award over the other two nominees, Mikey Lewis and Jai Field.
"Tonight fills my heart with joy and pride," Carney read out.
