THREE weeks after completing the treble by adding the JD Welsh Cup to their Nathaniel MG Cup and JD Cymru Premier league titles, The New Saints are lining up their pre-season fixtures after announcing another clash with Robbie Savage's Macclesfield FC side on July 26.

Savage's side earned promotion to National League North last season and have played against TNS for the last two years.

They drew 1-1 at Park Hall last summer and were beaten 1-0 at their own Leasing.com Stadium in 2023.

Craig Harrison's treble heroes are hoping for another marathon season after somehow negotiating 14 European clashes, 32 domestic league games and 11 cup ties - 57 competitive games in total.

Add in eight friendlies and it completed an incredible fixture list.

Their Uefa Champions League campaign started on July 9 last year and Harrison can expect another early start this summer.

"It feels great to have completed the treble but it was a really, really hard season," he said. "It was so long with those extra 14 European games.

"We were beaten more often than we have been for a long time at home, but the players deserve all the credit in the world for gritting their teeth and working so hard after we got knocked out of Europe.
