THE Whitsun half term is an opportunity for a bit of a break for some, but if you've ever had the opportunity to compete or support at the Urdd National Eisteddfod, you'll know that this week can be as busy as the rest!

Eisteddfod Genedlaethol yr Urdd Ynys Môn 2026 an opportunity to showcase Ynys Môn at its best!

Let me begin by congratulating everyone who competed at the Urdd National Eisteddfod this year, but especially those who represented Ynys Môn. The list of achievements for competitors from Ynys Môn this year was extensive, and we're all so proud of you!

I also had the opportunity to immerse myself in the excitement and fun at Margam Park during the week and it was so lovely to see the event going from strength to strength with so many celebrating their Welsh identity.

Of course, next year it will be our turn to welcome the Urdd National Eisteddfod back to Ynys Môn for the first time since 2004. It's an incredible opportunity to welcome competitors and families from every part of Wales to our little corner of the country and showcase Ynys Môn at its best! I look forward, over the year ahead, to continuing to play a part with a number of other enthusiastic volunteers to raise funds and ensure that Eisteddfod Genedlaethol yr Urdd Ynys Môn 2026 reaches its full potential.

AE hanner tymor y Sulgwyn yn gyfle am fymryn o saib i rai, ond os ydych chi erioed wedi cael y fraint o gystadlu neu gefnogi yn Eisteddfod Genedlaethol yr Urdd, mi fyddwch chi'n gwybod y gall yr wythnos hon fod mor brysur a'r gweddill! Gadewch i mi ddechrau drwy longyfarch pawb wnaeth gystadlu yn Eisteddfod Genedlaethol yr Urdd eleni, ond yn enwedig y rheiny oedd yn cynrychioli Ynys Môn. Mae'r nifer o lwyddiannau i gystadleuwyr o Fôn eleni yn drawiadol, ac rydym ni gyd yn mor falch ohonoch!
