There will be no alliance with BJP, says EPS; hits out at Stalin

Reiterating his party's decision to snap ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary Edappadi Palaniswami, or EPS, on Tuesday said that they will face the 2024 Lok Sabha elections without a prime ministerial face.

Addressing the AIADMK's first meeting of the general council, after the Election Commission recognised him as the general secretary of the party, EPS said: "We have already made it clear that there will be no alliance with the BJP. The decision to snap ties with BJP was taken unanimously at a party meeting on September 25," he said.
Attacking the MK Stalin-led DMK government in the state, he said: "This is now giving sleepless nights to Stalin as he knows minority votes will get split.
