HEALTHY AND SUPPLE SKIN 101: THE SAWAN EDIT

The scorching summer heat has now been replaced by cloudy, overcast skies and sudden downpours, leaving the skin dull and prone to breakouts. It is, hence, necessary to modify our skincare to treat the woes that come with monsoon and rainwater, which is full of bacteria and pollutants.

However, there is no need to compromise on healthy skin, as with a few tweaks, you can prevent the monsoon from raining on your skincare parade!

● The humidity in the air can compel one to constantly splash water on their face. But, do not overwash, as this can strip the skin of essential oils and moisture. It is necessary to find the right balance.

● Monsoon and humidity could mean your pores get more clogged than usual. For this reason, use a gentle cleanser according to your skin type and wash your face at least twice a day.

● If you have oily or acne-prone skin, you may need to wash your face more frequently up to three times a day.

● As part of your PM routine, it is important to double cleanse your skin. Use an oil-based cleanser first, followed by a water-based one. This will help keep your skin healthy and glowing.
