Gujarat to be our first choice for investment, says Foxconn chief

Taiwan's Foxconn is committed to building a semi-conductor factory in India, chairman Young Liu told Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday.

Gujarat will always be the first choice for its investment, Liu said during a meeting with Patel, according to an official statement.
Liu, who is in the state to attend the three-day Semicon India 2023 event in Gandhinagar inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 28, spoke about benefits and other incentives of Gujarat's semiconductor policy 2022-27, the statement said. "Under the guidance of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Gujarat is ready to become the semiconductor hub of the nation," Patel told Liu.
