Feb 2020 riots: Court stays probe against Mishra for vandalism

A city court on Wednesday stayed an order directing an investigation into Delhi law minister Kapil Mishra's alleged role in vandalism during the February 2020 riots in northeast Delhi.
NEW DELHI:
The revision petition was heard by special judge Kaweri Baweja of the Rouse Avenue court. The court issued notice to the complainant and stayed the probe order till April 21, the next date of hearing.
Last week, a city court had directed a police probe against Mishra over his purported involvement in vandalism during the riots, observing that a cognisable offence has been made out based on a complaint by a Yamuna Vihar resident.
