'Drop' in tourist arrivals in Goa? State minister slams influencers

Amid reports of a drop in tourists in Goa on New Year's Eve this year, state tourism minister Rohan Khaunte on Thursday said his department was working on a plan to "expose influencers" who have tried to misguide people into choosing other destinations.
Addressing reporters in Panaji, Khaunte said the state recorded a good tourism season with a number of domestic tourists being higher than last year. "The social influencers who have popped up, who were paid, if they were to only share their experience and said that they came to Goa and said this or that happened, I would have found it believable... but to say that because of some issues, tourist numbers
