A 45-year-old woman was killed and three people sustained injuries after they were mowed down by a car, allegedly being driven by an inebriated man, on Monday morning in south Delhi's Greater Kailash 1.

The accused, identified as 23-year-old Vinay Kumar -- a private financier from Najafgarh -was arrested from the spot, said Deputy commissioner of police (south) Chandan Chowdhary.
"Passers-by had caught hold of Kumar, who was heavily drunk. When his alcohol breath test was conducted, it was much above permissible limits," said a police officer, on condition of anonymity.
