Two kanwariyas killed, several others injured in road accidents in West UP

MEERUT: Two pilgrims on Kan-war Yatra were killed and several others injured in several road accidents reported in western Uttar Pradesh between Sunday and Monday morning, police officials said.
In one of the incidents, Amit Singh, 30, was killed when a luxury car rammed a bike with Amit and two others on it on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway in Muzaffarnagar district. Aman, 24, and his friend Abhishek, 18, who were accompanying Amit to Haridwar, were injured. Amit died on the spot. The car driver fled, abandoning the vehicle, which was later seized by the Chhapar police.
Amit, Aman, and Abhishek lived together in a rented accommodation in Ghaziabad. Abhishek was employed at a factory. Amit, who made his living by driving, is survived by his two children.
