Election Commission of India (ECI) officials on Monday clarified that genderwise voter turnout data for the ongoing Bihar elections will be released at the time of the final turnout amid criticism from the Opposition over the delay in publishing the figures for the first phase of polling.
"The overall gender ratio (male/female) in voter turnout is generally given at the time of final turnout," an ECI officials said on anonymity.
