JMM SLAMS UNION MINISTER FOR IGNORING SOREN’S REQUEST

The ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Thursday expressed disappointment that Union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari didn’t honour the request of chief minister Hemant Soren to postpone the highway inauguration event, given the ill health of party patron Shibu Soren.

- Vishal Kant

Addressing a press conference, JMM general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said, “The chief minister wrote to Union minister Nitin Gadkari requesting him to postpone the inauguration event, given the ill health of our leader, Shibu Soren. We are not angry; rather, we are sad, as we consider Nitin Gadkari ji as one of the select few sensitive people in the BJP leadership. But he went ahead with inauguration event, which is surprising.”
