BARMER/JAIPUR: Agriculture Minister Kirodi Lal Meena on Sunday said his phone was being tapped regularly and he was under the surveillance of the crime investigation department (CID).

"I am still saying my phone is being tapped regularly, and there is a CID following me," Meena said while speaking at an event in Sanchore.

This comes just days after home minister Jawahar Singh Bedam denied the phone tapping allegations by Meena in the assembly.

At the event, the agriculture minister said: "I received a notice (BJP). I told them that when I used to protest in the past, the officers of the previous government would monitor me. They would track where I was going, what I was doing, and which movement I was participating in. They used to tap my phone.

"I have always said that my phone is being tapped, and there is a CID following me. The same officers from the previous government are still in their positions. Those who used to tap my phone and follow me are still there. The police or CID would show up at times. I never paid attention to it, but now it should stop," he said.
