Min denies spying claim by Meena
Hindustan Times Rajasthan
|February 21, 2025
The Rajasthan government on Thursday denied the allegations of spying levelled by cabinet minister Kirodi Lal Meena earlier this month, saying his phone was neither tapped nor was he "under surveillance".
JAIPUR:
Minister of state for home Jawahar Singh Bedham gave the statement over the matter in the state assembly during the ongoing budget session, days after the opposition Congress demanded a response over Meena's allegations.
"Meena had given a statement in the media that his phone was under surveillance. The opposition demanded a statement from the government in this matter. However, Meena himself denied his statement later," Bedham said. "I want to tell the House with full responsibility that there was no phone interception of Kirodi [Lal] Meena by the government."
