IMD issues heavy rain alert in 9 distts; 2 killed

Bodies of two people who got swept away in Banas river in Rajasthan’s Sirohi on Sunday, were found on Monday morning, according to officials.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a further heavy rainfall alert in nine districts of eastern and southern Rajasthan.
“The incident happened at around 9.30pm on Sunday when the two went to bathe in the river. There was heavy rainfall in the area for the last two days and the river has overflown. Soon they got down the river, they were swept away,” said Goma Ram, deputy police superintendent of Mount Abu circle.
