DJB looks to improve public image

Facing mounting criticism over crumbling infrastructure, billing disputes, water contamination cases, and a series of alleged scams, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) is looking to revamp its public image—this time, through social media.

The water utility has floated tenders to hire a social media management agency that will deploy an ll-member team to strengthen DJB's digital presence and monitor public sentiment on social media platforms.

Asenior DJB official said the agency has invited bids for a three-year contract. “Besides managing activities related to the chairman and vice-chairman, the team will help handle websites, produce videos and

infographics, and manage DJB's social media handles,” the official said, requesting anonymity. The bidding process is expected to conclude on July 28.
