Barmer man set on fire, attackers on run

A 45-year-old man was allegedly attacked by two assailants with sticks and set on fire at Jasai village in Asada under Barmer rural police station area on Monday night, police officers aware of the matter said on Tuesday, adding that the two attackers have fled the spot following the incident and are currently absconding.
BARMER:
The victim, identified as Dalaram, managed to remove his burning jacket and shirt and called his family for help. He was rushed to Barmer District Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment in the burns ward. He sustained severe burns on his head and both hands, they added.
