Another NEET Aspirant Dies by Suicide in Kota

JAIPUR: A 16-year-old student preparing for the National Entrance Eligibility Test -Undergraduate, or NEET-UG, for admission to medical courses was found dead in his hostel room in Kota district of Rajasthan, police said, suspecting it to be a case of suicide, making it the 14th such incident in the coaching hub this year.
Last year, 20 students preparing for various competitive examinations died by suicide in the district.
Station house officer of Jawahar Nagar police station Ram Laxman said the student, a resident of Katihar district of Bihar, arrived in Kota earlier this month. "He had been staying in a hostel in the Jawahar Nagar area in Kota and was preparing for NEET-UG with a prominent coaching centre in the city," he said.
