120,000 home cams hacked in S Korea to make sex videos

South Korean authorities have arrested four people for allegedly hacking more than 120,000 home security cameras and using the footage to make sexually exploitative material for an overseas website, the New York Times (NYT) and BBC have reported.

The accused hacked internet-connected cameras that were installed in homes, businesses, hospitals, saunas and other spaces, commonly to monitor children or pets, South Korean police said. Aside from private homes, cameras in karaoke rooms, a pilates studio and a gynecologist's clinic were also hacked.
