Won't accept any deal that compromises our sovereignty: Ukraine
Hindustan Times Patna

Ukraine won't accept any peace deal that compromises its sovereignty or territory or restricts its ability to join military alliances, Ukraine's foreign minister said on Tuesday, ahead of an expected phone call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
NEW DELHI:
Speaking at a security conference in New Delhi, Andrii Sybiha said Ukraine won't accept any restrictions on its military capacity, nor would it recognise any territory occupied by Russia. "We are not the obstacle to achieve peace," Sybiha said during a panel at the Raisina Dialogue. "We do really expect from the Russian side unconditional yes for a ceasefire."
Sybiha's comments come ahead of an expected conversation between Trump and Putin later Tuesday, one objective of which is getting the Russian president to agree to a 30-day ceasefire that Trump proposed earlier this month and that Ukraine has agreed to.
