Govt Sets Up Trust for Maa Janaki Temple

Days after announcing that the designs for the holistic development of the Jagat Janani Maa Janaki temple at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi have been finalized, the Bihar government on Thursday formed a "trust" headed by the state's chief secretary for the construction and redevelopment of the temple.
PATNA:
According to government plans, a grand temple will be built at Punaura Dham on the lines of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The trust, titled "Shree Janaki Janm Bhumi Punaura Dham Mandir Nyas Samiti," at Punaura village in Sitamarhi district, as per the gazette notification issued by the law department, will come into effect immediately.
The state's chief secretary will be the trust's chairman, while the development commissioner will be its vice-chairman, and the district magistrate and deputy development commissioner (DDC), Sitamarhi, will be secretary and treasurer, respectively.
