Four, including 3 'rapists', held after police encounter

Bihar's Gopalganj police on Tuesday arrested four criminals including three involved in gang-rape with an UP-based minor girl during an encounter which took place in Kuchaikot police station area on Tuesday.
PATNA:
The police received information about some criminals who had assembled in Petbhariya orchard, after which the police set up a trap for them. When the criminals arrived, the police tried to catch them, but the criminals opened fire on the team.
Several rounds of bullets were exchanged, and three criminals were injured with gunshot wounds in their legs. A total of four criminals were arrested, all of whom have multiple criminal cases registered against them.
They were rushed to sadar hospital for treatment. Those arrested/injured were identified as -- Kariman Kumar, Abhishek Kumar and Sonu Kumar -- all residents of Sasamusa Bintoli.
Police recovered a country made pistol, revolver and live cartridges from their possession.
