Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will attend an event organised here on April 7 to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's Salt Satyagraha, launched 95 years ago as part of India's freedom struggle.
PATNA: "Social activists from various segments will attend the programme, to be jointly organised by the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) at SK Memorial hall," said newly appointed state party chief Rajesh Kumar on Friday.
He, however, said that details of the programme and itinerary of Rahul Gandhi would be announced once minutes of his Patna visit were finalised. This will be the third visit of Rahul Gandhi to Bihar in the past three months. BJP leader and Union home minister Amit Shah is also scheduled to tour the state later this month. Increasing frequency of top leaders from BJP and the Congress is mainly attributed to the state election campaigning, due later this year.
