Clerk Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Blind School Girl

A school clerk was arrested on Tuesday and sent to judicial custody for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl of a prestigious blind school in Patna for over two years, police said.
PATNA:
ASP Patna City Atulesh Jha said that after receiving a complaint from the girl's father, the police took statements from family members and the victim's friends. "In the course of investigation, it came to light that when the victim went to the clerk for papers and other work, he took the opportunity to molest her. She has also undergone a medical examination. An FIR has been filed against the accused under section 6 of the POCSO Act and section 64 (2) of the BNS. The entire matter is being investigated, and a charge sheet will be filed soon," the police officer said.
