Bihar needs ₹15L-crore package for turnaround

PATNA: Bihar needed an annual Central package of at least ₹15-lakh crore over the next three finance commissions to pull itself out of poverty, said experts at the 'Bihar Policy Dialogue' organised by Sone Valley Development Corporation at the Constitution Club in New Delhi on Sunday.

An initiative of RJD MP from Buxar Sudhakar Singh, the dialogue is an attempt to go in for image makeover of the party and firm up state-specific issues through deliberations by experts drawn from Finance Commission, erstwhile Planning Commission, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University, OP Jindal University and AN Sinha Institute of Social Studies before the Assembly election.
