Less than a day before Delhi was scheduled to go to the polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a final attack on the Aam Admi Party (AAP)'s top leader Arvind Kejriwal on the floor of the Lok Sabha, taking jibes at the "Sheesh Mahal" (Kejriwal's official bungalow as CM) and his decision to "deprive" Delhi residents of the benefits of the universal health care Ayushman Bharat scheme.

NEW DELHI: Less than a day before Delhi was scheduled to go to the polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a final attack on the Aam Admi Party (AAP)'s top leader Arvind Kejriwal on the floor of the Lok Sabha, taking jibes at the "Sheesh Mahal" (Kejriwal's official bungalow as CM) and his decision to "deprive" Delhi residents of the benefits of the universal health care Ayushman Bharat scheme.

In his reply to the motion of thanks to President Droupadi Murmu's address to the joint session of Parliament, Modi also used the term "AAP-da" (disaster), coined by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to hit out at alleged misgovernance by the AAP in the city-state.

Delhi will vote on Wednesday and the results of the assembly polls will be declared on Saturday.

"Earlier, the headlines of the newspapers used to be related to scams and corruption. Ten years have passed and crores of rupees have been saved, which in turn have been used for the common people. We have taken several steps that resulted in saving a lot of money. While we have used funds to build the country, We didn't use money to create Sheesh Mahal," the Prime Minister said on Tuesday.
