Sharjeel Seeks Court Relief, Says Didn't Call for Violence

Jailed student activist Sharjeel Imam on Thursday urged the Delhi high court to release him on bail in the larger conspiracy case related to the 2020 riots, saying that the speeches he delivered in Jamia area, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), during the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests did not call for "violence" but sought "transparency" and "utterance against violence."
