Meerut mosque razed to build RRTS corridor

A decades-old mosque in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh was demolished late on Friday night to make way for the construction of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor, officials familiar with the matter said on Saturday.
MEERUT:
The demolition on the Delhi Road was carried out in the presence of police and administrative officers, with the consent of the local Muslim community, the officials said.
