J&K LG removes 3 more govt staffers on 'terror link' charges

Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday dismissed three government employees, including a jailed policeman, for their alleged terror links, drawing sharp criticism from the Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which termed the move "arbitrary", and chief minister Omar Abdullah questioning the decision, maintaining the law says that "every accused person is innocent until proven guilty" in the court.
JAMMU:
Sinha invoked Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution to terminate the services of the three employees - J&K police constable Firdous Ahmad Bhat, teacher in school education department Mohammad Ashraf Bhat and orderly in forest department Nisar Ahmad Khan, who was earlier arrested in connection with the killing of a National Conference minister in 2000.
