Civilian Visits to Punjab Border for Retreat Ceremony May Resume Today

Civilians can start visiting the three India-Pakistan border points in Punjab, where a retreat ceremony is scheduled, within a day or two, Border Security Force (BSF) officials familiar with the matter said, adding that an order on the same is yet to be issued.

However, they said, even if the retreat ceremony starts from Tuesday, the border gate will remain closed and the customary handshake between BSF personnel with Pak Rangers will remain suspended.
