'Bogey of jungle raj is just a ploy by NDA'

The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation, which is contesting 20 seats in Bihar as part of the Opposition INDIA blog, has promised new initiatives for land reforms, identity cards to sharecroppers, land for landless and regular wages to scheme workers. In an interview to Anirban Guha Roy, party's general secretary Dipankar Bhattarcharya says the verdict of the Bihar assembly polls will be decisive as the state is looking forward to bring a change in government. What is the poll agenda of your party?

The poll agenda is a change of government. There is no redressal of major issues plaguing the state like unemployment, migration, law and order and working class not getting proper income and voices of contractual and outsourced staff and scheme workers getting suppressed. There is complete collapse of governance in the state and crime has increased.

We want a people’s government and higher income for farmers, better protection for sharecroppers, land for the landless as we have promised to give 5 decimal of land to every homeless/landless family in rural areas and three decimal of land to every homeless/landless family in urban areas.

Inthe campaign, the NDA is projecting the Mahagathbandhan as anti-development and targeting the Opposition, especially the RJD, using the ‘jungle raj’ jibe.
