Odisha CM Majhi Condemned the Incident and Said Exemplary Action Will Be Taken Against the Culprits
BHUBANESWAR: All 10 accused, including four minors, have been apprehended in connection with the gang rape of a 20-year-old undergraduate student while she was visiting the Gopalpur beach in Ganjam district of Odisha, police said on Tuesday. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has also taken suo motu cognizance of the gang-rape and directed the Odisha DGP to submit an action taken report within three days.
In her complaint, the victim has alleged that the incident took place late on June 15 when she and her boyfriend were sitting by the Gopalpur beach and the accused approached them, tied up her boyfriend and took turns to rape her.
