Apna Dal (S) president and Union minister of state Anupriya Patel on Thursday backed her husband, UP minister Ashish Patel, over corruption charges against him.
LUCKNOW:
Ashish said that he is ready to be sacked, but will not resign from his ministerial post.
Ashish Patel was accused by Pallavi Patel, an MLA from Sirathu and a leader of the Apna Dal (Kameravadi), of corruption in the appointments of department heads in the UP technical education department.
At a press conference, Ashish Patel alleged that he was under threat of an attack from state Special Task Force (STF) and dared the force to shoot him "in the chest".
