U.P. women to get 1% stamp duty relief on property registration

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday directed extension of 1% stamp duty discount for women on property registration up to Rs 1 crore.
LUCKNOW: Currently, this discount is available for women for property registrations up to Rs 10 lakh.
The chief minister made the announcement during a review meeting of the stamp and registration department here. The move is expected to significantly enhance women's economic empowerment while making property transactions more affordable.
He also directed officials to ensure uniformity in circle rate determination, especially in areas with similar conditions.
