UP athletics assn sacks secy for financial fraud

Months after an inquiry, the Uttar Pradesh Athletics Association (UPAA) has terminated the services of its secretary Devesh Dubey and decided to file an FIR against him for financial misconduct.
LUCKNOW:
A decision to this effect was taken at UPAA's special general council meeting held in Meerut recently. President Ashutosh Bhalla said action against Dubey was taken on the basis of a report submitted by an inquiry committee.
"A four-member committee was formed in November last to probe the charges against Devesh Dubey. The panel of Neeraj Kumar, AK Gupta, S Shivanand Naik and Narendra Kumar submitted its report, recommending the measures against Dubey," Bhalla said on Monday.
